"I've got a job for you get the message to the other gangs to meet us at West Avenue say it's the only way to save the prisoners got it?" said Nightscar

Shallow nodded again. "I'll do that." She meowed, walking out of the tunnels.

Nightscar dropped the struggling cat onto the sewer's floor. He hissed at Rosebud then started waiting for the others to return with the other cats.

Nightscar was getting impatient."Those idiots" he shouted, echoing along the sewers. He decided to join the fight and try and claim back some more prisoners he clawed Rosebud along the face and he ran off

Rosebud felt a tear trickle down her face which mixed with the blood flowing from her cut. She was cold, hungry and in agony. Why did she go hunting at the bins?

Hours later sunlight started braking through into the sewers and Rosebud could feel the shadows leaving her body.

Hawkpelt darted into the corridor. He lied his kit down as Redleaf limped across, placing down the other kit

Rosebud limped through the sewers bleeding until she saw Hawkpelt. She gave a high pitched meow and tried to run away but just fell. She was scared this is the cat who first brought her here.

Hawkpelt flickered his ears. He was licking his kits. The golden she-kit mewed quietly.
"Brokenwing" Redleaf mumbled under her breath.

Rosebud sensed something was wrong and she ran over to the kits ignoring the Darkshadow cat and started to try to heal them but not succeeding very well. Kits didn't deserve to die no matter which clan they came from.

The dark grey kit was sat up, starring at the newcommer. It appeared only his sister had been effected.
"Darkfeather" Redleaf mewed, nudging the kit gently. Hawkpelt tried to get the golden kit to stand.

As the Darkshadow cat began to rise. Rosebud started to get scared. She backed away slowly not knowing what to do.

Redleaf noticed Rosebud and addressed her calmly.
"Nightscar is dead. Then again, so is your clanmate, Reedflower"

"Reedflower's dead!, Nightscar's dead! then aren't you leader of darkshadow?" she said feeling even more scared her fur turned on end.

"He exil-"
Hawkpelt cut his mate off.
"Yes"

Broken wing feebly stood up. Darkfeather started mewling.

"Then why aren't you attacking me?"

"Because I'll let you all live- for now" Hawkpelt spat

Rosebud was confused. What did that other cat try to say. She didn't believe Hawkpelt. She retreated a safe distance and asked loudly "Why?"

"Because I'm busy you idiot!" Hawkpelt hissed.

and with that Rosebud limped out of the sewers and back to Mournsong.

Redleaf flopped down with a sigh.
The kits ran to her hungrily.
"I'd better get some kill" Hawkpelt mubled and dashed off.

Hawkpelt entered, and lay the kill by Redleaf's paws. The hungry she-cat gulped it down.
"Trouble?" She murmed, looking at him with peircing green eyes. Hawkpelt nodded. Redleaf sighed and licked her kits gently. Brokenwing was sleeping, her body moving rythematically. Darkfeather was gazing at his father with the striking amber eyes. Hawkpelt dipped his head.
"The clan is weak"
Redleaf stood up, startling Brokenwing. Hawkpelt looked at her in confusion.
"We shouldn't show them that" She mewed, picking up Brokenwing's scruff. Darkfeather padded obidently beside her as she padded away. Hawkpelt took a breath and followed his mate.

Lilac-Pond walked into the sewers to find it empty she sat in the shadows waiting for Hawkpelt's return.

Hawkpelt padded in with his kits.

Lilac-Pond walked out of the shadows to Hawkpelt. "I need to talk to you... alone"
