Main tunnels

"This is alone" He gestured the sleeping kits.

"Well you shouldn't be here. Should you."

"What the hell are you on about?" Hawkpelt blinked.

"I know what happened when Nightscar saw your kits, I saw that memory."

Lolly padded up the tunnel and caught sight of the kits. She padded to them and lay down amongst them, feeling safe with cats her own age, oblivious to the adult cats' chat.

"This is my clan. I've taken it easily" Hawkpelt looked smug.

"According to the law of the clans it isn't and if the other cats knew well..."

Lolly rested amongst the other tiny furry bodies, rising and falling regularly with their infant breaths, tired out from the day. She curled down amonst them, though her pale fur colour made her stand out, she was exactly the same size as the babies, and just looked like an extra body added to the brood. She listened to the conversation, comfy but unable to sleep.

"There is no-one else to lead" Hawkpelt interupted

"Well there should be nobody rather than a usurper"

"Get lost" Hawkpelt growled.

"No, if you do. I'll tell the others and they'll be baying for your blood, you legally have no protection from the clan, they can kill you in anyway they want."

Hawkpelt sighed.
"They won't. I have the kits. And you don't know anything about these kits"

"Don't you understand - there already looking for a chance to kill you. This will be perfect. Oh and I know what thing about the kits you don't" she smiled.

"What?" Hawkpelt snarled, leaping onto the she-cat and pinned her down.

Lolly lept up, afraid. The fighting cats were pulled apart in a flurry of blue lights.

Lilac-Pond laughed. "There's 3" she said simply and laughed again.

Brokenwing awoke, cuddling upto the strange kit.

Lilac-Pond struggled out of Hawkpelt's pounce and jumped on his back. "Well, one wrong move, I blab simple as that. What do you say."

"Tell me about the kits!" Hawkpelt rolled over

Lolly smiled and lay back down, cuddling next to Brokenwing.

"I like these kits." said Lolly, cocking her head towards the arguing cats. "Are they yours? They're all fuwafuwa and cuddly... and they're special and secretive too since you guys are having a lovers' spat over them!" Lolly laughed, half asleep already.

Lolly purred loudly in response and touched noses with the tiny ball of fur.

Brokenwing started to lick Lolly

Lolly giggled and licked the kit back, leaving the scent of Mournsong on him as she did so.
