Inside the garage

Quickpaw raced in.

"Hello Quickpaw." Darke greeted with a deep purr.

"Morning Darke." Quickpaw greeted. She licked her lips.

"How's the loner doing?" She asked, leaping down. "You stink of the docks."

Quickpaw sniffed appreciativly. "So do you." Darke laughed, a deep rumbling purr.

"OK, I go snatch a few fish, some soft sweet cotton. But I havn't the time to hunt properly. No-one does anymore. I seem to eat more fish than mice." Quickpaw nodded.

"I ran down for a snack this morning." Darke flicked her tail and they settled on the cushions.

"Glowstick's been taken!" Redleaf burst in out of breath.

Darke stood.

"Bye whom?"

"Me" Hawkpelt stepped out of the Shadows.
"Now then, come to west Avenue if you want to see her again"

He ran off before Redleaf even got up.

"I'll go!" She hissed, dematerilizing.

Darke lifted her tail.

"No. I'll go. I expect Hawk wants a scrap. I'll take a couple of guards in case things go wrong."

Darke raced outside, to finish this off.

An image flickered and appeared infont of Glowstick, as if a trapped soul. An image of Redleaf.
'Help me Glowstick! I'm burning! He's using my body, my life. He's trapped me within!

Glowstick leapt up from her rug.
"Who? Hawkfrost? Nightscar?"

(HAWKFROST LOL)
The image flickered, in pain. The she-cat was battered.
'Hawkpelt - and they aren't my kits!'

"What shall I do? Kill Hawkpelt?" breathed Glowstick, a new lease of hope filling her mind.

'Kill me!'
Redleaf flickered and faded.

Darke raced in.

"Woah, i'm not as young as I used to be!" He purred

Redleaf's words ehoed.

Glowstick ran to her leader.
"Darke! Redleaf just sent me a telepathic message! Redleaf seems to be under Hawkfrost's control, and those kits are not really hers! Redleaf told me to kill her, but I can't! The only explanation seems to be to kill Hawkfrost!" she paused for breath.

"I don't understand! Do I kill your body or the mind posessing you or what?" mewed Glowstick impatiently.

"Wait- slow down. Repeat what you said, but slower and easier to understand."

'The mind of my body'

"But what is the evil part of you? Your body or your mind?"

There was a long pause.
"...fine." Glowstick gave in. "but it better not kill you. I'm having a rest first, anyway." she fell to sleep on a rug.

'I bring here'
At that moment, Redleaf walked in.

Glowstick ripped off two of her ribbons before firing 2,000 volts of energy into Redleaf's mind.

Redleaf fell to the flower spasming. She sent Glowstick crasing across the room with her mind

Glowstick retiliated by firing more energy through Redleaf's mind.
